Progressive Rock Master Alan Parsons, the Soulful Sounds of Motown, and a Tribute to Boy Bands Coming to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady in May

Schenectady, NY (February 3, 2020) – Guests will experience the unparalleled fusion of blues, folk, and progressive rock when 11-time Grammy nominated artist and producer Alan Parsons takes the stage at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center with the Alan Parsons Live Project on Friday, May 8. Also, in May, guests will travel back in time to the soulful 60’s and 70’s during The Magic of Motown dinner show, and enjoy a fist-pumping house party with the ultimate boy band tribute Larger Than Life.

Tickets to The Magic of Motown dinner show go on sale Wednesday, February 5 at 10 a.m. and tickets for Alan Parsons Live Project go on sale Friday, February 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at, or the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady. Boy band tribute, Larger Than Life, is free and exclusively for Rush Rewards members with tickets available on Saturday, May 16 starting at 8 a.m. at the Rush Rewards Center at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

Friday, May 8: Alan Parsons, and the latest iteration of the Alan Parsons Live Project, will take the stage and transport guests through the five decades of music that has earned him countless industry awards as a performer and producer including 11 Grammy nominations, the Les Paul Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Diva Hall of Fame. Alan Parsons has engineered and produced albums for music icons including The Beatles, Paul McCartney, The Hollies, and Pink Floyd. Fans can expect to hear Billboard Top 40 hits such as, “Time,” “Damned If I Do,” “Games People Play,” “Eye in the Sky” and many others. Doors open at 7 p.m., the show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $37.

Saturday, May 16: Boy band fans will be popping their collars, grabbing their shades, and feeling their hearts race when Larger Than Life hits the stage and recreates the music and energy of bands like the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees, O-Town, Boys ll Men, and One Direction. Larger Than Life will also perform hits by The Jackson 5, Temptations and Four Seasons for fans that like their boy bands a little more retro. All Rush Rewards members may receive 1 complimentary ticket at the Rush Rewards Center on the day of the show starting at 8 a.m. Limited first-come, first-served seating will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Guests must be 21+ to receive a ticket at the Rush Rewards Center.

Wednesday, May 27: Guests will be transported back to the soulful sights and sounds of the 60’s and 70’s during The Magic of Motown dinner show. Featuring a four-piece vocal section, The Magic of Motown weaves its way through the Motown and 70’s soul eras with authentic choreographed dance routines and outstanding musicianship bringing to life the adored music of Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and many more. The show starts at 7 p.m and includes a delicious meal with a shrimp cocktail appetizer; an entrée choice of fried smothered bone-in pork chop with mashed potatoes and collard greens or vegetable hush puppies, creole aioli, rice and beans; and a choice of pecan pie tartlets or a fruit plate for dessert.
