Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Comment on New York State Gaming Commission’s Approval of Sports Betting Regulations

Schenectady, NY (June 10, 2019) – Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady has released a comment on the New York State Gaming Commission’s final approval to legalize sports betting in New York state.

Today’s approval by the New York State Gaming Commission authorizes and regulates the conduct of sports wagering at the four commercial casinos licensed by the Gaming Commission, including Rivers Casino.

“We’re extremely pleased that sports betting regulations have been finalized and approved by the New York State Gaming Commission and are looking forward to introducing one of the first licensed sportsbooks in the state at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady. We anticipate opening the Rivers Sportsbook as soon as we receive approval from the NYSGC. Sports betting will be a tremendous complement to all that Rivers Casino has to offer.”
