Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady to Host Meet & Greet With New York Yankees Baseball Legends

Schenectady, NY (September 11, 2019) – As baseball season continues, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady invites guests to attend a Meet & Greet with New York Yankees legends on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Attending players include former Yankees Captain and 1977 & 1978 World Series Champion, Graig Nettles; former Yankees pitcher and 1977 World Series Champion, Mike Torrez; and former Yankees third baseman Mike “Pags” Pagliarulo.

The meet & greet is free and open to the public, and will be held at Van Slyck’s lounge from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Guests are permitted to each bring 1 item per player for signings. Photos are permitted. Must be 21+.

Graig Nettles spent 22 seasons in the MLB (1967-1988), playing third base for the New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, and Montreal Expos. He played in 5 World Series, becoming a 2-time World Series Champion in 1977 & 1978 with the New York Yankees. He was Yankees Captain from 1982-1984. Nettles was a 6-time All-Star, played in 2,700 games, amassed 2,225 hits, and was the 1976 American League Home Run leader.

Mike Torrez spent 18 seasons in the MLB (1967-1984), and pitched for the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Expos, Oakland A’s, and Baltimore Orioles. He became a World Series Champion in 1977 with the New York Yankees, winning 2 complete games in the series. Career highlights include 458 starts and 1,404 strikeouts.

Mike “Pags” Pagliarulo spent 11 seasons in the MLB (1984-1995), playing third base for the New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, and Baltimore Orioles. He became a World Series Champion in 1991 with the Minnesota Twins. Career highlights include 1,246 game starts and 942 hits.
